Williams County Has A Huge Drug Problem

According to the Bryan Times, we have a huge problem locally with drugs. In fact, it’s more than just a problem… the paper is referiing to it as an epidemic, according to Williams County Sheriff Steve Towns.
Methamphetamine is reportedly a huge problem locally, in spite of aggresive actions aimed at prosecuting those operating meth labs.
Of the 42 indictments returned this week by the Williams County Grand Jury, 34 were drug related. It was the most ever in a single month, setting a record in Williams County.
The problem is more than just drugs. It also involves other crimes, such as robbery and theft, which often are caused by those needing money to support their drug habit.
