Drug Bust In DeKalb

DeKalb County deputies make a drug arrest at a County Road 75 home. Dispatchers received word of a domestic disturbance at the scene. When officers arrived, they smelled marijuana. After a search, marijuana plants and various forms of product were seized. Brian Jordan faces a list of charges.

Fuller Gets Jail Time

In Fulton County, Nathanial Fuller of Bryan is sentenced to three years jail time for an altercation last summer at an area bar. The judge also requires Fuller to complete his GED and get a job. He is currently in the lockup in Stryker.

Moore Faces Resisting Arrest And Other Charges

A Howe woman faces multiple charges. Deputies responded to a report of a suicidal female at an East County Road home. Wanda Moore assaulted the two deputies when they arrived, they’re okay. Moore was jailed for battery to a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Ramey In Court

A pretrial hearing for James Ramey was held in a Fulton County courtroom. Ramey faces two counts of murder and a list of other charges. He is accused of killing Amanda Mangas, 23, Delta, and then leaving the area with the couple’s then 10-month-old son, Winston Ramey. He was taken into custody later that day.

Funny Money In Paulding

Fake money is found in Paulding. Officers say an area business has turned in two counterfeit bills, a $100 and a $20. Other storefronts have been warned about the bills. If you know anything about this, give Paulding Police a call.

Student Told To Leave

Millcreek-West Unity school board members vote unanimously to expel a student who they say made a threat against the school. The student was present at the meeting with lawyers and family.

NC Student Suspended For Threats

North Central Local School District officials told reporters a 14 year old boy is suspended from class. Officials say he made threatening comments concerning guns at school. They stressed that at no time was anyone at the school in danger.

Relay For Life Is Coming

Kickoff for the 2018 Relay for Life of Defiance County has a new date and location after the Feb. 11 date was cancelled due to an ice storm. The event will be held this Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Maumee room at ProMedica Defiance Hospital. The actual relay is scheduled for June 22.

Fugitive Captured

Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers find a man wanted in connection to a pair of killings in Detroit. The man fled from officers in Detroit, heading south toward Toledo. Police located the suspect on U.S. 20, near State Route 420. A few minutes later, the fugitive crashed on Interstate 280, near the intersection of Bahnsen Road in Lake Township. He ran from the wreck and shot himself in the head. He is in guarded condition at this hour.

House Fire In Paulding Co

Crews from five Paulding County fire departments take on a house fire on County Road 125. Officials told reporter damage to the home was extensive. Sometime later, Paulding firefighters were called back to the home when the fire rekindled. The investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway by both state and local authorities.
