New Appropriations Numbers

The West Unity Village Council approves appropriating $3.5 million dollars for its 2022 budget. It includes work for several capital projects, some of which may not happen. The village has several projects planned for next year, with nearly $1.6 million in the budget for projects that mainly deal with water lines. The operating budget for capital projects is set at $123,000 next year, a substantial increase from $7,300 appropriated for 2021. Some of the items includes $13,000 for office parking lot lights and park outlets…along with some electric work, totaling $5,000. The cost of a water main replacement project on Lincoln Street increased from $412,518 to $450,000. That job will be funded in part with a grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission.
