The Poison Is Gone

The cleanup from the release of a fentanyl-like substance is complete, officials say…as staff and detainees are back in the Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention, Training and Rehabilitation Center in rural Stryker. The facility holds juvenile misdemeanor offenders, primarily from Williams, Henry, Defiance and Fulton counties. Four juvenile detainees and three staff members were hospitalized the evening of March 20, after what’s been described as a “fentanyl-like” substance was released into the air system. All seven have since recovered.
