A project to bring Bryan Municipal Utilities water service further east on County Road D was awarded during a special Bryan Board of Public Affairs meeting Monday. During the six-minutes, the board gave the project to Bryan Excavating, which had the lowest bid among four companies that submitted for the project. The extension will bring BMU water service to Airmate, adjacent to the Williams County Airport. The company is in the process of an expansion project that will add to its economic footprint, while also bringing a handful of new jobs to Bryan. Airmate has agreed to pay the $282,220 dollar cost of the project…by way of a donation to the city.
