A levy…helping to fund infrastructure projects throughout Bryan received a mixed response from voters during Tuesday’s primary. The Bryan Times’ reports…votes were narrowly against…with 391 people voting no and 388 people voting yes for the levy. The results did not include all precincts…or the ballots from across the county that were scanned late Tuesday. The 0.5% income tax levy will last for nine and a half years, needing another vote by Dec. 31, 2032, to continue collection. First passed in the mid-1990s, the levy has funded $40 million dollars in city infrastructure projects.
