At last check…29 Williams County residents have voted early for the Aug. 2 primary election. Area ballot officials say that was the pace they expected. Early voting for this unusual extra primary got underway Wednesday and continues up to Election Day. Low turnout is anticipated as the only races on the ballot are for State House and State Senate nominations, as well as positions on the Republican and Democratic state central committees. These elections were delayed after the GOP-controlled Ohio Redistricting Commission repeatedly failed to produce new district maps that can hold up in court as constitutional.
