Millions, perhaps billions of birds are flying right over the heads of residents in Fulton, Henry and Williams counties in the annual bird migration to ancient breeding grounds up north. The areas are good sites for seeing birds because it is under the Atlantic flyway. While some flock to the southern Lake Erie shores to see the birds as they rest before the flight across the Great Lakes. Other spots include the Delta and Wauseon reservoirs. There is also the Meyerholtz Wildlife area and Ritter Park in Napoleon. Potential birdwatchers don’t need much equipment to see them. A pair of good binoculars, stout shoes and bug repellent would be the basics.
