As the season changes…and more bugs make a reappearance, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources is working to prevent the spread of invasive species…as its Division of Entomology & Plant Pathology removed 1,960 spotted lanternfly eggs during a project in the region. Officials say…more than 1,700 of those were removed from a single large yew tree. DNR says the total number of egg masses removed so far this year is 16,830. The department says it plans to continue scraping egg masses in in the area…until the lanternflies hatch.
