Older absentee ballot request forms are still acceptable for the Aug. 8 special election, as long as the proper ID is submitted. The Williams County Board of Elections says there has been some confusion on whether these forms would be accepted. House Bill 458, passed earlier this year, eliminated some forms of identification for voting, such as a bank statement or utility bill. The acceptable in-person IDs are…an Ohio driver’s license…a State of Ohio ID card…an interim ID issued by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles…a military ID and more.
