The Corrections Commission of Northwest Ohio, the governing body for CCNO, meets and votes to reallocate beds for the coming year. Two entities, Lucas and Fulton counties took fewer beds than the charter calls for them to accept. Lucas County agreed to 173 beds, while Fulton County agreed to 52. Williams County remains at 5. Lucas County took 20 fewer beds, which actually helped the facility keep expenses down. Originally, Lucas County was only going to take 10 less. The drop in beds puts the facility 30 beds under where it would like to be for beds used. Officials have been working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to open the facility to some immigrants the agency is holding.
