The Millcreek-West Unity Local Board of Education gets updated on a couple of upcoming possibilities for students. Superintendent, Jim Wyse updated the board on the Project Prairie, which would use district land to create a prairie…to be used by student science classes. Wyse said the creation of the district would be funded through a grant and at no cost to the district. The Toledo Zoo will assist with the project. Wyse also informed the board he is looking ahead to the April solar eclipse. Wyse is planning to purchase safety glasses for all students and staff, and is also considering an early dismissal time on the day…so everyone can safely watch the eclipse at home.
